Under Italian wine law DOCG is the highest designation of quality among Italian wines. DOCG stands for Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita (Denomination of Controlled and Guaranteed Origin, DOCG). DOC stands for Denominazione di Origine Controllata (Denomination of Controlled Origin)

Humanity has enjoyed no wine grape more than Aglianico. Cultivated by the Phoenicians, exported by the Greeks, consumed by the Romans and protected
by Popes. Aglianico is probably the grape with the longest consumer history of all. Tasting Notes: Fig, black cherry, pepper, smoky cigar box and integrated
tannins with a very nice finish.
